I have received many questions regarding this photo.  Where is this?  What is he doing up there? The photo shows Vardø fyr on Hornøya in northern Norway, and it was taken during one of our trips to dark and desolated places which we still do annually.  I believe this was from the 2006 trip.  The person in the picture is my friend Rolf Holmboe.  He just figured it was a good idea climbing up there!
